Situated five minutes from Gaucín train station in the Guadiaro Valley below the famous hill-top white village of Gaucín. Known correctly as Colmenar de Cortes de la Frontera, but informally as Estacion de Gaucin. This is a wonderful area, bordering the Campo de Gibraltar and Serrania de Ronda and close to many wonderful walks.  The location lends itself quite perfectly to writing or yoga retreats for example. The plot is a stone’s throw from the wonderful Guadiaro river. Even in the height of summer there is a good flow of water, coming as it does from the impressive Vulture Canyon, 2 km higher up towards Ronda, which has waterfalls of around 100m deep.
